This patient with chronic pulmonary aspergillosis failed itraconazole and was treated with oral voriconazole. She developed facial erythema with remarkable redness of her eyes. She had a sensation of mild irritation of the eyes. Voriconazole treatment was continued.
Pigmentation of Aspergillus versicolor colonies ranged from pale green to greenish-beige, pink-green, dark green and brown. Reverse is usually reddish. The growth rate is usually slow. Cultured on Sabouraud dextrose agar with chloramphenicol.
