Further information:

We look forward to welcoming around 1500 participants to the Public Health England Annual Conference 2019,representing the wide range of organisations working together to improve the health of the public. Over two days there will be the opportunity to learn, share experience and network.

The five track conference programme will focus on some of the areas where we can collectively make the greatest improvements in health and reduce health inequalities. Initial information about the sessions is now available (including some organised by Faculty of Public Health) and further details will be added over the next few weeks.

Sessions are designed to include plenty of time for discussion to benefit from the wealth of experience of participants. Speakers will include renowned experts and those with practical experience in putting evidence into action at local level. We are delighted to have the participation of Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care who will give a keynote address on the second day of the conference.

Important examples of innovative work in public health will be made available in the associated ePosters displayed throughout the conference. Abstracts are now invited for innovations in research and the application of evidence into practice. The deadline for submissions is midnight on Wednesday 8 May.

If you book to attend both days of the conference and stay on campus, you have the opportunity to attend a pre-conference workshop, a breakfast discussion session, the networking conference dinner and join one of the early morning activities.
