Further information:
Bioaerosols are ubiquitous in the environment we inhabit and the majority pose no risk to human health. However there are a number of pathogenic microorganisms that can be transmitted via the air; evidence shows this may be helped or hindered by the design of buildings and civil infrastructure.
This conference aims to bring together expertise in aerobiology, engineering and health to explore current challenges in transmission and control of airborne pathogens linked to buildings and civil infrastructure.
By inviting researchers and practitioners with interests in outdoor bioaerosols (such as allergens, bioaerosols at waste treatment plants and legionella) and those focused on indoor air (such as influenza and hospital acquired infection) , we aim to promote transfer of knowledge and techniques between communities.
Key conference themes include, but are not limited to:
• Bioaerosol sampling
• Health effects
• Risk analysis
• Design issues and Engineering controls
• Field studies
• Bioaerosol sources, dispersion and survival
• Modelling and Simulation
• Applications
The deadline for submission of abstracts is Wednesday 27 March 2013
