ISMA 2017 is a EAACI Focused Meeting attracting clinicians and researchers working in the field of allergology and clinical immunology. It has a novel structure that will not only include topics such as the allergome, but also the analysis of molecular allergen structures and the challenges in molecular diagnosis and therapy of allergic diseases. For the first time ever, ISMA 2017 will offer a second track that covers newly emerging and rapidly developing fields of molecular allergology, such as the microbiome in relation to allergic diseases, new developments in personalised medicine, in omics technologies, in biomarker research, in biological therapies and functional foods. The symposium offers plenary sessions summarising state-of-the-art knowledge delivered by leading scientists as well as parallel workshop sessions in which selected topics are presented in depth.

The aim of the joint Meeting is to present and discuss evidence-based policies, guidelines, approaches and best practices of the communicable disease control and prevention within the European region. Among the speakers are experts from the World Health Organisation, the European Centre for Diseases Prevention and Control, and other international organisations, the most prominent specialists of communicable diseases.

Relevant topics will be discussed including current threats of communicable diseases in Europe and the world, antimicrobial resistance, health care and veterinary medicine-related infection problems, challenges of the European Vaccine Action Plan and development of new vaccines, social health determinants and inter-related infections: HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis.

CPAnet will organize its second annual meeting on the 30th of June 2018, in Amsterdam just before the ISHAM congress. CPAnet is a European research network to promote clinically oriented research in the field of chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA). After a successful kick-off meeting in Borstel, Germany this year with 28 clinicians and scientists from 11 European countries, the agenda of this meeting will be to highlight current achievements and to discuss future projects. Everybody interested in CPA will be welcomed to this second meeting. More information will be available soon.
