We are pleased to announce the 5th Congress of Asia Pacific Society for Medical Mycology (2013 APSMM), which will be taken place in Chengdu, China, June 19-23, 2013.

The highly successful 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th APSMM Congresses, which were hold in Bali island, Kunming, Bangkok, and Seoul respectively, attracted lots of participants from Asia Pacific countries and regions.

Chengdu is the vibrant city of western China, which is an old city with thousands years history. Also it is an advanced, active and friendly city. More than four thousand years ago, the prehistorically Bronze Age culture of “Jin Sha” established itself in this region. The fertile Chengdu Plain, on which Chengdu is located, is also known as “the land of abundance”, which literally means “the country of heaven”. There have plentiful famous scenic spots such as Jiuzhaigou, Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Emei Mountain and Panda Breeding Research Base. Sichuan cuisine enjoys an international reputation for spicy and flavorful such as Bean Sauce Tofu (Ma Po Dou Fu) and Kung Pao Chicken.
