Select species:
  Species of medical significance

Species for which secondary metabolite/mycotoxin information is available
Species for which the original paper is available
Species whose classification is widely agreed
Species which are contentious and not verified

Notes on searching:
A list of all available species can be obtained by pressing Search, without altering the search form.
Results are returned in three sections: Asexual forms, Sexual forms and Previous names.
If there is only a single species matching the search criteria, the species page is displayed directly.
For a search restricted by genus, select the required genus from the drop-down list.
A search string comprising some initial part (one or more letters), or all, of the specific epithet can be entered in the text box to restrict the search. No wild card is necessary at the end of the search string. A wild card "%" can be placed at the beginning or within the search string, as necessary.
Clicking on a checkbox restricts the search to only those species that match that criterion.

Example

Selecting genus "Aspergillus" from the drop-down list, entering "f" in the text box and pressing Submit will return all species of the form "Aspergillus f...", such as Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus fischeri and Aspergillus flavus (including all varieties).

The data shown here is based on previous taxonomic classification (Raper & Fennell) and is continually updated. Comments are welcome.
