Abstract: 

Background: In patients with advanced HIV-infection, OPC unresponsive to FLU has been associated with prior FLU use. Previous studies however, have failed to demonstrate whether FLU used as chronic suppressive therapy or only as therapy for episodes of mucosal candidiasis is associated with any differential risk for clinical FLU-resistance.
