us: Agricultural/Food Scientist II [100% | Duties: We are the microbial ecology and molecular-based laboratory. The selected candidate should provide (directly or indirectly, as time and resources permit) the requested level of project assistance that facilitates the timely completion of research and extension projects. Particularly, this would include the following: Conducts growth chamber, greenhouse, and agricultural-based and forest-based field projects: Field surveys, plot lay out, planting, treatment applications, sample collecting (e.g., soil samples and plant biomass), recording and analyzing data. Develops written reports as needed; oversee day-to-day operation of projects, working with volunteers, faculty, farm and other staff as needed; Conducts molecular biology-based projects: ... | Minimum Requirements: Doctoral degree in agricultural science, biology, or a closely related field; or a master’s degree in agricultural science, biology, or a closely related field and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, biology, or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience. Valid driver's license | Preferred Requirements: M.S. or Ph.D. in molecular biology, soil sciences, microbiology, plant pathology, bioinformatics or related area with technical knowledge and skills specific to microbiology, molecular biology and biotechnology, or/and 1 year of experience working in a molecular biology laboratory.
