Abstract:

-8208; Early diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis (IA) is notoriously difficult and few diagnostic tools are
available. -8208; PCR in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) has not
been incorporated into the diagnostic
criteria of IA because there are as yet
no validated or standardized methods. 8208; We systematically reviewed ll
studies assessing PCR in BAL for the diagnosis of IA. We also compared and
assessed the additional value of PCR
over GM in BAL.
