Abstract:

The introduction of new antifungal agents together with the
emergence of new fungal species with unknown
susceptibility requires surveillance for the detection of
isolates with decreased susceptibility to antifungal agents,
especially in critical care setting, in order to optimize the
antifungal treatment.
The aim of this study was to determine whether there are
any differences in the antifungal agent resistance rates
between ICU and non ICU adult patients in the age of new
agents.
