No abstract.First para: Infections due to Aspergillus species are increasingly found in immunosuppressed patients undergoing chemotherapy for haematological malignancies. Pericardial involvement due to invasive aspergillosis is seldom reported. We have recently treated a fatal case of pericarditis due to Aspergillus fumigatus in a bone marrow transplant recipient.
