Abstract:
Patulin is a mycotoxin produced by fungi belonging to several genera, includingPenicillium, Aspergillus and Byssochlamys species. Although patulin can occur inmany mouldy fruits, grains and other foods, the major sources of patulincontamination are apples and apple products.
