Aspergillus caelatus, A New Species in Section Flavi

Abstract:
Aspergillus caelatus, a new species belonging to subgenus Circumdati section Flavi, is described from agricultural soils and peanut seeds in southwestern Georgia, USA. The species is similar to A. tamarii, but differs in colony color and smaller conidiophore structures as well as in its mycotoxin profile.
