Abstract:

A new variety of Aspergillus brunneo-uniseriatus is described and figured. It differs from A. brunneo-uniseriatus Singh & Bakshi var. brunneo-uniseriatus mainly in less flocculent growth and smaller conidial heads, conidiophores and conidia. The fungus was isolated from soil and rhizosphere of Piper nigrum L. from the Calicut University campus on a few occasions in 1978.
