have developed eTest, a series of test strips which
are inpregnated with antifungal drugs, including itraconazole, amphotericin,
flucytosine, fluconazole and ketoconazole. At one end of the strip there is
high concentration of the drug which decreases in defined steps along the strip.
The strips are laid onto growing culture plates during incubation - the result
is a zone of inhibition around the strip which is proportional to the amount
of drug - see the examples below for several species of Aspergillus.
