Combined PET/CT scan

This is the most frequent form of use of PET for clinical purposes, used in combination with CT.

This is a video of the images served up by the viewer software MIMViewer so it lacks the sophisticated controls available in the viewer. A clinician can normally stop, rewind, browse body 'slices' one by one and so on, but here we can only show one view.

The aspergillosis lesion is situated in the lower left lung lobe and can be seen here as a small black blob in the rotating figure aligning with the top of the heart.
