Bibliographic Database

The Aspergillus website used to maintain a bibliographic database which was compiled from Medline and Web of Science (GRAsp - see below), but as all users now have access to the former free of charge via the NCBI website and most will have access to Web of Science via their own libraries this effort duplicated a facility which is excellent and already freely available.

  • Scirus, a powerful new search engine developed by Elsevier Science for locating scientific information only. At this stage Scirus covers more than 60 million science related pages from the Web as well as membership sources such as ScienceDirect, MEDLINE on BioMedNet, Beilstein on ChemWeb and Neuroscion.
  • AMADEO - The medical literature guide

  • Free full-text journals
    Within the next two years, the most important medical journals will be available online, free and in full-text. The Free Medical Journals Site is dedicated to the promotion of free access to medical journals over the Internet. As well as english language journals, this service covers Español, Portuguese and other languages.

  • National Electronic Library for Health - NeLH pulls together over 70 electronic resources including Medline, the Cochrane Library, to reviewed internet sites by NMAP.

    BIOSIS is a non-profit organization that delivers flexible information services – including databases and customized information products – to the global life sciences community.

  • ASM press
    ASM Press is the book publishing division of the American Society for Microbiology. The Press publishes reference manuals, scholarly monographs, textbooks in all of the microbiological sciences.
