How can you help with fundraising?

The Aspergillosis Patient Support and Aspergillus Websites' rely on charitable donations to our parent charity the Fungal Research Trust. We also receive small donations from Shering-Plough, Pizer, Gilead and Astellas.

The Aspergillus site and the Patients' website aim to provide information and education for patients, doctors and scientists in their quest for understanding and treating aspergillus infections. The website also provides two online support groups for patients to interact and gain information.
A monthly newsletter and twice weekly blogs - targeting the latest published information relating to aspergillus and the illnesses it causes, are available to you by email and online.
But we need your help - we need funding to maintain this level of information and support and to continually improve our services. Can you help to organise a fundraising event - or do you have a suggestion to help raise funds? The sites are run by only a couple of staff members - hence we need the people who benefit from this resource to each give a little time to help fund raise for us.
If you can do this, any funds raised, can be paid directly into our new Virgin Money Giving account dedicated to our fundraising which can be used for all donations and give us tax free status. Virgin Money Giving also has ideas for fundraising events and helpful suggestions for fundraisers.

We also operate as part of an active research group participating in Aspergillus research and a National Aspergillosis Centre. The Fungal Research Trust funds and supports research into fungal diseases around the world. Over 99% of all income (2008 figures) to the FRT is spent on research into fungal diseases and support for people suffering from fungal diseases. Administration spending is kept to an absolute minimum. So please help to support Aspergillus Research.
