Why Use RSS?

Once you have downloaded your RSS reader you will be able to automatically keep up to date with news and views from all of the channels that you select. The latest version of Internet Explorer (IE7) can read RSS output directly and also allow filtering by category, sorting by date, title or author and offers links to full text articles if available - so click on RSS above if you are viewing this page in IE7 and it will open the new page for you.

Alternatively simply download one of the news readers below and enter the URL of the RSS page that you are interested in. You will then be able to view the latest headlines and stories on that subject as soon as they become available. For example if you go to the Medscape link below there are a number of RSS pages on different topics. You choose the topic you are interested in Eg. Infectious Diseases copy the URL into the news reader and you receive all the recent news about infectious diseases which is regularly updated.
