| Description: Available at the University of Birmingham, in association with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and the West Midlands deanery. The position needs to be filled between April 2012 and March 2013. The University and hospital campus in Birmingham is home to a vibrant and successful community of microbiologists, with interests and expertise spanning antimicrobial resistance, outbreak genomics, hospital infection, bacterial pathogenesis, mycobacterial cell wall biosynthesis and pneumococcal infection. Microbiology also features as one the key themes in our newly established NIHR Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Centre. The campus is also home to a brand new purpose-built super-hospital. We anticipate that the position will be advertised in late 2011. In the meantime, we welcome informal enquiries from anyone interested in the position. |
