The Advances Against Aspergillosis meeting (AAA) has been run since 2004 and is a focus for research and medical developments in diagnosis and treatment of aspergillosis.

The next meeting is from 3-6th February 2010.

Following the successful inaugural meeting of the National Aspergillosis Centre in Manchester, UK, where patients were invited, the organisers of the scientific meeting - Advances Against Aspergillosis conference (AAA) alongside the Fungal Research Trust, are considering inviting patients and their family and friends to participate in a patients' half day meeting with talks covering aspects of aspergillosis.

If held, the meeting will be open to everyone from any country and it is possible to arrange simultaneous translation for several languages. Please indicate which language you wish to hear in the form above.

Provisional programme of talks:

Several of the staff involved in the Aspergillus Website and UK National Aspergillosis Centre will be there, with a meet & greet booth in the reception area.

Venue:
It will be held in the same location as the AAA meeting which will follow on, in the Sheraton Hotel in Rome, Italy on Feb 3rd 2010 in the afternoon. The Sheraton is conveniently located between the airport and the centre of historical Rome. A small charge for the patients' meeting will be made to cover refreshments and food. You will be responsible for your own flights (e.g. Ryanair do cheap flights to Rome from several parts of europe - Liverpool/Rome was around £60 return) and hotel accomodation (from around €125 per night (single ) or €182 (double) for 4 star accomodation). Cheaper accomodation is also available.
